On Ebay, a British naval cannon is up for auction. Looks authentic anyway, and the current bid is $9,500. The item is described as a ship's cannon from the 1700's on the Blomefield pattern. The seller claims that even the carriage is authentic, rebuilt from the original parts, down to the oak wheels.

The British can be extremely harsh at times, as in the execution of the mutineers of the 1857 rebellion at Sindh in Karachi. In recent news, Karachi has been the site of recent arrests of Taliban military cheif,
Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, and other Taliban and Al-qaida members. Karachi is an ancient city in Pakistan, even mentioned by Alexander the Great's admirals. The story came from All Things Pakistan.
