Replica of Dr. Richard Gatling's first gun.  Fully live fire bronze gun on carriage,  it is a faithful full size replica of Civil War or early British gun using .577 steel chambers that house the standard musket paper cartridges of the period, primed with standard percussion caps.  The original idea was to simplify logistics as the new brass cartridges hadn't been adopted by any governments at that time. The gun has been run to 6 rounds per second but 4 to 5 rounds per second is normal, and has been used in several Civil War re-enactments on the west coast.

The gun is only one year old, and comes complete with carriage and 50 reloadable steel chambers for $34,000.  If you also want a full towing limber for ammunition and harness for one horse it will be $39,000 for everything.  Last August, the Gatling was passed and accepted by the Washington Civil War Association and also received the written blessing of the BATF for the gun to be sold without any restrictions or special permits.  It is not classed as a machine gun by current definition and is legal to own by anyone Stateside who can own an ordinary rifle or pistol.   The owner can also deliver the gun if a customer is on the West Coast and they will cover his gas and travel expenses.  You can contact Stewart Marshall at This email address is being protected from spambots.
