In a story from the Cincinnati Enquirer, a local veteran of the Ohio Militia, Alexander Blair Liggett, got a new headstone from the Clermont County Veterans Services Commission. He was a veteran of the war of 1812, in a unit that participated in the siege of Fort Detroit and other western battles. Relatives pushed for the new headstone as his was worn and illegible. The grave is in old Red Oak Cemetery in Brown County.
